You pay more than stand-alone shelving, but far less than the cost of a Built-In with the same ability

Cheapest of the bunch, especially if you only need a few components and accessories

Material and time costs put this option at the high end cost-wise; even more if hiring a contractor

INSTALLATION

The system installs on two brackets, so as long as you have a nice, flat area you'll be fine

Just remember factors like stud placement, everything else is really flexible

Planning is VERY important here and it's a high-level Do-It-Yourself project

INSTALL TIME

Plan for the better part of the day, mostly for building the system and setup

Most installations range from minutes to an hour or so

Your looking at days to weeks, depending on the scope of the project

TV FLEXIBILITY

The evo design allows for flexibility on TV size and can be expanded if need be

With no limiting factors around your TV, there's no need to worry about getting a bigger one

Plan ahead and design plenty of room around your TV so you don't box yourself in

COMPNENT FLEXIBILITY

You can add shelves and mounts and move them freely about the system to fit your needs

Add more shelves, relocate placement…there's nothing limiting your gear getting on the wall

Plan ahead! The closed nature of a built-in means that room you allow is all you'll ever get

SPEAKER FLEXIBILITY

Mount speakers and sound bars directly to the evo system, or set them on shelves

Speaker mounts and stands provide plenty of options for optimal speaker placement

Plan, plan, plan (notice a trend…)! Think about the places and sizes of speakers you'll need

RUNNING WIRES

Easily hide all of your wiring and power behind the panels with no cutting into the wall

Wire covers will help conceal your wiring, but there are limitations and you should plan ahead

Plan ahead and you'll be fine, making sure there are plenty of places to run wires where you need them

DÉCOR INTEGRATION

The evo system is a full furniture solution with wood panels that help to integrate it into your home décor

The mounts and shelves are minimal, but you don't have a deep level of control aesthetically

This is where a custom built-in really shines! Since you have full control over the looks any fault is your own :)

ABILITY TO RELOCATE

It's easy to remove the entire system and it leaves only a few holes to patch, making it great for renters

You can unmount all of your equipment and take it with you to another room or house with no problem

Once a built-in is in, you have a lovely solution for your room—but it will always be for that room…always
